A big shoe and a little foot

Tyler decided tonight that he was going to wear daddy's shoes. By the time I got the camera out he had lost one but here is his little foot in daddy's big shoe!

There is an alien in our midst!

This little blue lizard found its way to our home (from foodworks actually!) as part of the slaphands toy. Its sticky and slimy and the boys loved it!  I put it up on 2 peas as an example and there were some funny comments about the wildlife we have down under!!

Last day

Today was my last day on class and I took my camera to get some pics of the artworks we did over the last couple of weeks. for someone who hates painting I sure did a lot of it!!

The first one is of the melding water paints method of painting to give the mixed in colours effects for autumn

This is the scary trees paintings that we did using the butterfly squish painting (as I call it) method where you put a heap of paint in the middle and then fold the paper in half, smooth it out, open it up and there you go!

Wrestles!!

Wednesday! Hump day!, 2 more sleeps till the weekend, tomorrow is my last day on my class. The boys are coming home so full of energy and since the mishap with the mucky mud at the lake we have had icky weather and I haven't been game enough to take the boys back without gum boots - which means I have to go shopping!

So today you get the boys wearing off their end of the day energy on the trampoline wrestling. Tyler won this one but Caden got up on the next!! They are really funny on there until the crying starts then it is a screaming match as to who can cry the loudest!

bubble baths!!

Today the major thing we did was do the groceries! woo hoo the everyday things that we have to do! we bought the boys some bubble bath and new electric toothbrushes in the shape of Wall-E and Diego. The boys thought this was great! I am still not to happy with the pics and to be perfectly honest not too sure if I want them up on here. so all you get to day is our blurb of our bit of the everyday!!

It is the last week of my teaching block so that also means the last of the full time work! The boys are back at school today and I am editing an engagement session from the weekend. Daz is still on nights and we really try to catch up a lot on the weekends since we are all in school when he is home!

A visit to Papa

We ducked over to see how Papa was going and also play with G'ma. Tyler let me try a couple of pics out with the light. I have been working on getting much better catch lights in their eyes. I was happy with the catch lights but not the focus. going to have to watch that.

Papa is starting to feel a little better and was pretty tried by the end of the day with the kids running around.

How's that for the Mason look huh! guess he had had enough of the photos (even though I had only taken three!)

He's a WOMBAT!!

This week was Tyler's first week up in the wombat room as a big boy! Even though he doesn't turn 3 until July he was really ready and they let him move up. I was a bit of a bad photo mummy in that I didn’t get these taken until today but I made it in the first week!

two little boys, a mower and a new quirk

Caden is still on an anti-photo kick at the moment so we don't get many showable ones of him! It has been nearly 2 weeks since his operation and he is going really well. He is turning into a normal 4yo that just never stops! He loves to climb into his jammies straight after school and Tyler loves to play with the mower still.  The are on the way of putting it back where it was. One of the rare moments that I can actually get them in the same photo lately!!

I jumped on the trampoline to get this. I was pretty happy as I was trying for the silhouette look

and you cant go past a open your eyes and yell go! at mummy! I was bouncing him while trying to take this! WE seem to be spending a lot of time on the trampoline lately since daddy took the nets down.

Mama take my photo!

Who can resist such a cute face!! T and C were into getting their doona covers out and laying on them in the lounge room along with blankie and bunny and their pillows.

I am very very make the same mistakes I think in my pp. have to work on it. this is better but still needs work! I am not happy with it all but will try to persevere to see if I can come out the other side with nicer photos and well edited ones!!

At the lake

I took the boys to the lake today instead of the park - to get some cute sunset shots of the boys, well we lasted about 20 minutes and Caden was saying that the mud was really sticky. The boys were fascinated by the sticky mud, the sticks and rocks that they could throw and I was by the cool sun peeking through the clouds! >  <

Caden is just starting to reach the age where he loves to draw and write. He is always dressed up in one of his suits (or a mixture of the two or three or 4!)

Afternoon at the park

Today I had my first non family photo session. we met at the botanical gardens and we took our kids as well as Daz would look after them while I was with the family whose photos I was taking. Tyler is the most easy going kid when it comes to having his photo taken so this is pretty much all about him as usual!! I feel that sometimes I am starting to get a handle on my photography and others not. The editing is still a problem with me being too heavy handed but I'll get there!

I LOVE colour!

I am loving having a great camera this autumn. there are such awesome colours around. here are a few from China mans Dam and the trip back. I think I have figured out the soft focus photos were taken with my kit lens and the others with my prime. I can see why I like my prime.
