Easter sunday – relaxing?….

NOT for Dad and Dazza! The new lasolite roofing had to be put so we were out of here bright and early (like sun just coming up early!) heading to mum and dad’s place. The big boys did a really good job on it. It made such a difference to the light when it was finished.

Easter Hat parade!

Caden had his first Easter Hat Parade today at school. Of course as with everything that I do I leave it to the last minute. This time it was because I had NO IDEA what I was going to do! Turned out I had a brain flash and the hat was thought of and it didn’t cost much either which was a bonus!

So here  he is…

preparing for our first Easter Hat parade

Tomorrow is Caden’s Easter Hat parade at school and to be perfectly honest I think I am more excited about it than he is. I have asked him what kind of hat he wants and I get a blank look. Well that hasn’t helped me find my mojo! Inspiration struck today as to what to do and here is the construction – well the constructed hat.

Hot Cross Buns

I have been stressing over the boys not being able to experience the delights of eating hot cross bums because we haven't seen any for gluten free diets in the shops. Well I went for coffee around to a friends place and she was making some. You know that I had to bring home the recipe didn't you! we made them Easter Morning on Sunday so that we could east them hot! Not too bad, a few thing I would change like using the GF plain flour with the yeast next time and maybe an extra egg but all in all yummy! Caden really enjoyed them which is the main thing (and so did my Mum!).SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC SONY DSC
