My boy is growing up!

He is such a big boy now. He is really becoming independent now. He is choosing his own clothes, loves to ride his bike, jump on the trampoline, chat about his day, got to big school for orientation, watch Ben 10, play dress-ups in his Transformers/Sportacus/Spiderman suits. He goes for the Titans in football but still helps Daddy cheer for the Broncos. He is Starting to let me take photos of him again! He loves to play with G'ma and Papa  and is always asking when they are coming over. He is starting to add and subtract his numbers, can count to 30, write his name - both first and last, asks to copy a whole heap of words with whatever catches his fancy. He loves to play the my little pony's that he has recently discovered then follows that with football and trucks, blocks and bikes, pencils and textas, scissors, glue and paper, drawing and colouring and creating. He has started pouring over the toy catalogues that come in and cuts out his pictures of what catches his eye. He still won't eat veges but will woof down a bowl of pasta in no time at all. This little boy of mine is nearly five as he tells me every day! And when he is five he goes to big school, he can't wait. What an exciting time we have in store for us!

Yet another first for Tyler

Another trip to the ER and some x-rays and a possibly dislocated elbow on our little man. He was wrestling/playing with on the couch, got his arm caught between Daddy's legs and ouch. We were pretty lucky that the footy season was over as we were only at the hospital for about 2.5 hours and that included 2 sets of x-rays - on his bad arm and his good arm. So he has a half cast till Thursday when we see the orthopaedic doctor. So no school and more of an opportunity for me to take photos testing out my new camera!

Hail Storm

Sitting at the computer I heard this almighty thundering. looking out this is what I saw in the backyard. As usual I grabbed the camera. It was a bit of a funny sight -me outside in the cold wearing a T-shirt and shorts because the afternoon was so hot. There were two downpours of hail which measured about the size of a 1/3 of a golf ball.

T and G'ma

We were picking Daddy and Papa at the golf day and I grabbed this gorgeous pic of G'ma and Tyler in the clubhouse. I love it. I admit that I am hopeless at printing and framing my photos but this is already up on the wall.

And another one of my Mum I love it. I realised later that the bottle of water needed to be gone but hey it works!SONY DSC

My new work station.

My darling husband is wonderful! Since I am working towards developing a photography business as well as teaching he felt that I needed somewhere that looks functional in spite of me! We had the laptop already and the stand was my mothers day present as was the keyboard. The new additions are the file drawers pen holders, shelves and an entire wall in our dining room. This was all done as a surprise while I was at work! Oh I love this man!

We still have a frame to put up next to the pin board but I haven't decided on the photos to go in it yet! You would think that it would be easy with the amount of photos I take but I have found that I am getting picky at which ones I display (not that wasn't before!)

Lazy Town Live

I vowed earlier this year that I would be very vigilant with my blogging but at the moment I am slack. Anyway better late than never! Well.... on the same weekend that we went to Taronga Zoo we also met up with G'ma and Papa to go and watch Lazy Town live on stage. The boys are MAD for Lazy Town. I it all about Sportacus and Stephanie, Ziggy, Trixie, Pixel and Stingy and of course we cant forget about Robbie Rotten! Anyway we kept it a secret from the boys until the day of the show and too them to the Royal theatre in Sydney. We went to the 1.00 show and they were so tired. While we were waiting to get into our seats we indulged ourselves at the souvenir stand - show bags ( with a back pack, drink bottle, elastic, yo-yo and magnetic dart game) each for the boys, a flashing Sportacus badge and a light sword. very cool!

Tyler fell asleep as we sat down and I had to wake as the show started. It was great. Robby had his Roboticus take on Sportacus in who was the town hero contest. very clever and lots of singing and dancing.

T turns three!

I just realised that it is now September and I haven't blogged about a major milestone that happened in our lives...

Our baby has stopped officially being a baby then a toddler - he is THREE! Arghhh where is time going. He is supposed to stay little for longer!  The vocabulary on this boy of ours is awesome. he is giving me a taste of what I was like at this age - he sleeps only about and hour during the day, is constantly eating and drinking and TALKING! he has the cutest grin and cheekiest sense of humour. his latest thing is to say Mum, once upon  a time... and launch into a story!  He is learning to push all the annoying buttons on Caden and then assert himself so they are entering the fighting phase that I remember doing with Michael when we were younger. Oh joy! G'ma and Papa came to play and so did some of his friends from school! Thanks so much for coming on such short notice! here is a little glimpse of our boy's day...

the cake thank goodness he wanted a nice easy Rescue pack from Diego!
