Day 4 Daily December

Ah Friday of the first week of December! I worked again and Daz had the boys home with him. The boy time was spent very well! They went shopping for new decorations, moved the lounge room around, set up the Christmas tree, hung decorations in the boys rooms and found reindeer ears and a Rudolph nose! What a great day! Daz and I went out to my work Christmas party at Roms which was great. The food was lovely as was the company. G'ma and Papa came over to look after the boys so they had a blast.part one of decorating the tree!

Day 2 Daily December

Wow 2nd of December. We are hitting the Christmas countdown and you would not believe it but for the first time since the year we had Caden we didn't have our tree up yesterday! Soon! So you get the daily workings of us!  Caden checking out his new scooter! This  was a birthday present from G'ma and Papa. Daddy is on day three of holidays and in clean mode so it is fantastic to come home to a clean house and some of the chrissy shopping done!

Day 20 - technology on topic!

I was at the computer most of the day scrapping - except the little bit of sales shopping and lunch with Daz, yay! I have done assignment one for Now we're rocking at JS.com listening to my favourite songs on the computer,  and looking up at the ceiling (because I could!). ok the pictures...

essential to scrapping for me... my laptop, CS2, ACDSEE and email open!

the air conditioning vents - an ESSENTIAL part of our every day lives at the moment. Thank you whoever invented it! - realised after I took this that I should move them around a bit for a more geometric/arty look - oh well!

the latest everyday thing we have - C's puffer for asthma - very important piece of technology in our lives!

and of course my play list can't go with out music!

and my layouts - I did two with the lesson same child...

I finally put it together

It has taken me 2 and a half years, a lot of learning in Photoshop and I have finally gotten the pictures we took of Tyler as a newborn put into a picture that I am happy enough to go up on the wall. We took these photos but didn't know enough about photography to get fantastic shots. but we have them and with a little computer magic they aren't too bad!

Day 17

just a couple of little ones of us today! no big day photo-ing... needed a break (but in saying that I still took about 70 odd photos  just haven't done anything with them! I will admit that I was working on my shutter speed week 2 assignment for the 12 weeks photo course and T was up there with our p&s taking them right along with me! (post later on once I've downloaded them). He saw me set up the tripod and asked me where his camera was. He actually got a couple of good ones! We are finally getting to the point he isn't putting his grimy fingers on the lens as much!

ok the story behind the first one... C decided that he didn't want to have a day sleep today and hit 3pm & was grumpy and cross. He was told to stop it as he chose not to have a sleep and was great for the rest of the afternoon. This photo was taken less than 10 minutes after being put into bed last night. yep mum just couldn't resist that sleeping peacefully "I'm not tired" face!

C and I started the day with C playing with his playdoh for ages before T and Daddy woke up. I was surfing the net checking out the new photos on two peas and checking emails. So as I realise the morning light is great ,here is a couple of playdoh bits and pieces and I saw this type of photo in the January CK and wanted to have a go at it! I thought it was fantastic.

I did some scrapping today as well.. I have decided to redo my 365 pages (thank goodness that I am only in week 2!) I finally got to sit & read the CK and I have decided that I like the template being the same throughout the whole series and found one through digiscraps 101 (that I downloaded from here a couple of weeks ago) that is based on the design of the CK kit of the month. I'll post these a bit later once I have finished the pages!

Clean up here!

We have had a bit of a clean up and de-clutter here - well Daz has been! He has been working really hard on the back yard and it shows. It is really nice to walk out and not have to trip over all the kids stuff and boxes left over from Christmas. I finished off our Daily December album finally and was really happy with how it turned out. It has been a real relief to have that finished now and I hope to be able to get it printed into a book sooner rather than later! The kids have been great the last few days and are starting to play really well together encouraging each other and suggesting new things to do. T loves to watch In the night Garden with Igglepiggle and all of the others in it and C has been watching the Bee movie (jerry Seinfield's movie) lately so that makes it interesting to referee when they want the different shows at the same time. C is still really keen on building with the Kids K'nex and we had a look at the web site for games the other day which he also really enjoys.

Project 365

It is that time of year again where resolutions are set (and will most likely not go anywhere) and I was surfing on my forums yesterday and stumbled onto the 365 project. I know that I started one last year of a self portrait a day. I think I made it to about day 60 before life really intruded. This years project is something that I do anyway - try to take photos every day, then create a weekly scrapbook page/s to tell about your week. I like it!! so I have been accumulating templates and thoughts and set up my POTD blog (here) to document, learn and hopefully improve my photography. I am going to try hard to consistently blog here and over there... we'll see!
