capturing the little things

time is flying past so fast these days. Lachie is 4 months old now. Tyler is 6 years old, Caden is nearly 8. Holy moly why are they growing up so fast?!
I grabbed the camera today to try ad capture some little things that Lachie does before he stops doing them as he finds new things to learn and do.

He curls his toes around each other

he clasps his little fingers together o n his belly

 

he has a smile for his mama that jsut lights him up from the inside

He has learnt how to lift his bum and scooch around in a line across the lounge room floor

He loves to chew and slurp on his fist

he has found his thumb to suck

he is 20 weeks old (or 4.5 months)

Time is flying past way to fast and the boys just love to have Gem come and play! Tyler is figuring out now that it is not a good thing to wake her up from a sleep just because he is bored! She let him now after lunch that she was tired! lol They love playing together and She is now doing a few more interesting things!

Like discovering her toes!

attempt one a a 6 month photo session – we got 3 head bands, 1 skirt and one bodysuit and then she screamed blue murder and subsequently had a 2 hour sleep! lol anyway here is a few from today.

building up up up…

till we reach the very top! The boys used my flooring & set up to build towers out of blocks this afternoon. They sat there for nearly an hour just building and crashing and laughing and playing.

5 minutes to make a book tower of books and toys

5 minute drive to take caden to school

45 minutes to clean up the freaking room. Can you tell someone was in the bad books?

and not sunny at all but nothing keeps Tyler  out of the sand pit lately. Despite the fact he is surrounded but weeds and truck he is content for ages in there.

robot freak out

Mark this last few weeks on the calendar in big red permanent marker!! yes the boys have been dong painting and craft! AGAIN! and I am not screaming internally at the mess. why? because for 45 minutes I did not hear a peep out of this kid until….

 

Yep you read it right he got paint on his finger. Black paint no less. AND it didn’t matter that he was already coated in red green and blue paint. On NO he had a major freak out about it until I scraped it off.

 

and here it is half finished. I guess tomorrow is a good day to take a shot of the finished product!

two seconds later he strolls calmly into the lounge room, strips of the pink, turns and says “phew, that’s enough of being a princess, I’m your Tyler again”

Mum does things backwards

 

Whoda thunkit?

 

yup this size one brand new pair of tie me up joggers have been a bit of a cause of frustration in our house hold lately. All Caden wanted was some tie up joggers to go to school in this term. So we went and picked them out during some mummy and me time. All good we were both happy with them.

No problems they fit well however….

 

when it comes to learning to tie them up is a completely different matter. Caden and I sat there on at least 3 different occasions trying to teach and learn how to tie them up. More and more increasing frustration ensued until I sat back and watched how he did it.

 

It became very clear that I am a left handed shoe tier upperer. that means that I do it backwards.

 

Step in daddy who is strongly right handed no worries he has started picking it easily.

So Caden now happily tells people I am backwards.
