Mama and Me time

is a rare thing for my Caden and I. Ty gets a lot since C is in school but Caden misses out on a lot. Daddy took Tyler grocery shopping today and Caden and I took a little stroll around the corner to the park/open area around the corner. Photo time! and climbing trees and running and throwing the change colour ball and laughing and just being together! IT was really nice. We strolled back, shot some flowers, laughed and joked, played with the K’nex of which my robot clearly was no match for the mastery of Cadens! oh and the things you have to get through to see those gorgeous blue eyes!

salty glitter collage

The boys were keen to test out the salty glitter we made yesterday so armed with some cardboard, glue, paint, wool, paper it was gluing time!

They were happy enough for about half an hour before Tyler decided that he really needed more glue and added it straight from the bottle to his collage. Luckily Daddy walked out just in time to rescue it (sort of!)

bit of bubbles…

  yup the boys love themselves a bubble bath. They don't have them very often anymore as C is becoming to ‘grown up’ for baths. but this is what you get when you dump a whole heap of bubbles and two munchkins that destroy the bathroom in a matter of minutes…

Out for a Sunday drive!

  We went out for a drive today just to get out of the house. So we headed up toward the Snowy’s to see the autumn colour. The kids were a bit fascinated at the idea of a waterfall but we are going to have to go back in spring with the snow melt. But the leaves were fabulous up there. With all the “are we there yet” whining and whinging coming from the back we stopped at a park to play and mummy and Ty learnt that Mummy is really not the right size for a twisty slide to stay without bruises!

But there were these great big piles of leaves just waiting to be thrown around and jumped in!

And a new favourite of mine. Caden wouldn’t get out of the car to have  ago with a photo so Ty and I jumped out at the side of the road. I love it, I love how it was something I was in my head and it actually came off. I love how the red in the trees matches his hair and I am so glad that I managed to get the green jumper on him too.

We have a few more to come but as usual I haven’t had a chance with them yet!

Walk to school day

It was national walk to school safely day today and Cargill sponsored a breakfast for the kids at the park next to his school. They were also donating soccer and basketballs to the school. It was supposed to start about 8 so we went down and since no one was there the boys and I hit the park for a while.

We found a dragonfly that was glistening in the sun -

Then some play at the park, climbing – no sliding as it was too wet. but Ty managed to find every dirt plie he could to fall in!

And because you know I cant resist trying out person only shot here are a couple!

The kids had a great time and both of them went really well. Tyler had a little size 4 ball and he went and went and went! Caden really enjoyed it and kicked really well! puts him in good stead for next week when he starts soccer!
