Daz introduced me to bejewelled blitz on Facebook the other day. yeah good another big time waster that I got sucked into. Not good. Anyhow Caden loves to play it too. After Daz was playing for a little while Caden walks up to him, watches then says "You know Dad you get better points if you boom 5 in a row" hmmm thanks for that. Oh they catch on far too quickly

My Tyler is our funny fellow! He cries when I put the camera away and pulls faces like this when I take it out..
I love this boy!

Not that long ago we struggled to get Caden to look at books and pencils and colouring in, at school he only did painting because he had to. No we are seeing a whole other side to him. He loves to write and draw and colour and paint and create. His imagination has really begun to develop in such amazing ways. HE names all his pictures and they all tell a story. He loves to draw pictures of our family. During football season he was drawing the Broncos playing and selecting the correct colours for his teams. Recently at school the first thing he does to start the day is straight to the drawing corner. At kinder orientation he didn't really settle till we got out pencils and paper and he was right. Sent us on our way. Today as we were cleaning up I rediscovered the ever growing stack of art by Caden form school and home. So in true me style I photographed it as I feel that I can much easily record these memories easier than keeping mountains of paper with paint on them. While it doesn't retain the textures it certainly records where he is at the moment.

I was doing a browse of Jessica Sprague's blog the other day as I haven't visited there for a while and she had some fabulous pics of her kiddos with sidewalk paint and a link on how to make it. See her post here. Anyway being so super easy and having read it before doing the groceries I grabbed some cornflour (or cornstarch in American speak lol!) some water, food colouring and a 6 pan muffin tray, oh and some paintbrushes!. One sure fire way of kids having a blast! Even Miss N from next door couldn't get enough of it!

We visited G'ma and Papa and they also come to our place this weekend. The boys had a ball as they always do! They decided to go 'fishing' at G'ma and Papas with some fishing rods and foam fish. they had a ball. We took them to the park in the afternoon as Daz and Papa were at golf. The kids just love being outside. IT was cut short though when Mum was very closely swooped by a magpie. Clearly we got too close to its tree.

I was fortunate to take my camera during the Crocodile Encounter at the kids's Daycare on Wednesday. Tyler gave pats too all the snakes, lizards, turtles, crocodiles that came around. The kids were fascinated by them. There was the smiling crocodile Captain Crunch, Speedy the Turtle who could flip over, Spotty the snake, Olivia the olive python who could climb up the air to check out the streamers, the shingle-back and blue tongue lizards were a bit of hit as well. Some of the children were not too fussed on the snakes others let the turtle and lizard have rest on their heads!
Some very brave teachers and children even had a go at giving Olivia a cuddle!
Here are a few images from Wednesday!

We caved a couple of months ago and bought a Wii. I gotta say best $500 we have spent in a while! Daz plays it nearly every day. Tyler LOVES to sword fight, Caden LOVES to bowl and this weekend we introduced G'ma to the joys of it. I have never seen her laugh so much or say 'bloody hell' so much. Very very funny! So of course testing out the new camera a bit more here she is in her Wii-ing glory!

Oh and I just wanted to add that Yay me I fluked a 2/3 game against her in tennis (both of us never having played it on the Wii before) Even though I maintained my totally true to me style of sucktastic! I won! Ha Ha Ha!! Beginners luck!
Enjoy G'ma I am sure you will beat me next time!
