backlighting, field of weeds, smiley boy = happy Mama!

    I have been wanting to shoot the kids in the field next to T’s school and was determined to do it this week. Since I am trying out backlighting again we did it before school! Tyler had a blast, he was running in them pulling them out and ultimately falling down! Then I got this little gem…

and a couple more that he is his cheeky self in!

I was playing tonight while talking ot a friend and turned day into night! he he it was fun!

I shot this friday morning when we went ot the park for walk to school day. this is how it looked sooc…

One play with a couple of blend modes still daylight, bit poppy colours though!

And now it looks a lit up and pretty at night fall.

Walk to school day

It was national walk to school safely day today and Cargill sponsored a breakfast for the kids at the park next to his school. They were also donating soccer and basketballs to the school. It was supposed to start about 8 so we went down and since no one was there the boys and I hit the park for a while.

We found a dragonfly that was glistening in the sun -

Then some play at the park, climbing – no sliding as it was too wet. but Ty managed to find every dirt plie he could to fall in!

And because you know I cant resist trying out person only shot here are a couple!

The kids had a great time and both of them went really well. Tyler had a little size 4 ball and he went and went and went! Caden really enjoyed it and kicked really well! puts him in good stead for next week when he starts soccer!

Cranky much? he was sitting up on his little blue stool on the chair 9well actually he was jumping on it) but that is a whole other story! and when I grabbed the camera ‘cause I thought it looked cool by the time I got the camera to my eyes this is what he did….

 

Sooo to get back in the good books and be the great mummy again we made playdoh and he pretty much did it himself. (still not wanting photos but you get that!)

3 Photos is all I am allowed

at the moment. The bys informed me the other day that I was allowed three and no more. Good thing I made them count huh!

I love the fact that he is smiling, his gorgeous blues eyes are open and he is finally looking at the camera. Man he is good!

 

 

What can I say about my little man? he has reached the age where he thinks it is funny to run away after posing for like one second. it seems that If I let them go on the road then I get more out of the go figure my little dare devil!

Mothers Day

Today is mothers day, My 5th official on and 6th unofficial (he was still in utero for that one!) It was a year that I got my first school made present – I’ll keep it a surprise till tomorrow (I have to take a pic then!) I got cuddles and kisses, I got flowers and choccies. mmm yummy!

and  I got family photos. We went to mum and dads house for the afternoon and it was really great. The boys had a blast and I got to spend some time with my mum which was awesome! I even got to try some new stuff as their house is in fabulous spots for backlighting!

and he cracks me up! I asked Ty to stand behind me and pull funny faces at G’ma…. this is what he did…

VIsit to a farm

 

The boys don’t remember the last time they were on a farm (well it was really only Caden as Tyler wasn’t born yet) so when Daddy said we were going out to the farm they were soooo excited. Tyler especially couldn’t wait! When we go there they chased the baby chickens around the pen so they would go out and play, ran across the big hay bales and climbed through the shed. They checked out the horses and then they got to feed and cuddle the chickens. Here is Tyler carrying the feed in his shirt

Look Ma! I got to them!

My awesome Mum let me use her to practice on a few weeks ago and I wanted to do right by the photos. In truth I am turning into a big sooky la la at the moment need to figure stuff out with what I knew, what I wanted it to do an how to tweak it all into one! But I am feeling more confident about these edits and I love how good she looks! Thank you so much for helping in all ways Mum I love you!
