Ok so I didn’t really pick up the camera for a week after our holiday. I hit the ground running! Today was one of the first sunny days we have had since we got back and I bribed the boys for some photo time to practice some manual focusing and just trying to improve in general. while I took a heap there were only about 10% as keepers. here are a few that we took as we got out of the car and in the car park that I thought were so them!
Whew where is time going?
I have been so slack with my blogging lately, I haven't been able to keep up with editing my photos as I go either. The last few weeks have been really busy and just flown by. We started as you know with the Lazy Town and Zoo trip, then that was followed by dropping in to see G'ma for her birthday then we hit Townsville. Up there for 10 days, flew and drove home - the boys travelled really well. Thank goodness for such awesome technology now that in car DVD players are a godsend. Then home a day and I was back at work again. Saturday saw us off to Canberra for the weekend to catch up with friends and their two kids the same ages as the boys. We got some shopping in and then back home again where Caden was digging through my closet for some reason only know to him and discovered his transformer suit that is supposed to be for his birthday in November! oh well sin the two days since then he has barely been out of it! so since I have been so slack and not blogged here is a glimpse of our mornings (mostly) of the last 17 days!
As you can see we went from playing in the beach and pool to crappy foggy cold and dreary weather. But the sun has been shining the last couple of days and the boys are back at school and cranky from it. Ahh life is ever changing!

While in Townsville we caught up with Nanna Byrne a lot. The boys remembered her and really loved spending time with her which was awesome! We also got to meet our nieces Roselyn and Taylah. here are a few moments from the park, the beach and the airport.

I dont think that I have been so scared ok terrified and nervous all at once since maybe my own wedding. I am doing some (most) of the photography at the wedding today so that I can both document the day for Jill and Bruce and Mikaylah but also gain experience as a photographer helping towards my portfolio building as well. I have stressed that I need extra cards, extra batteries, another camera body and jsut that the photos will turn out ok. I was up at 3am this morning and then went around early to get some setup shots. I can see that I still need to work on detail shots to make them effective rather than snappy but whew we survived the day and now it is time to edit it. I went ok, terrified by the end of the day that now that it is over, that I didn't do a great job. I keep putting so much pressure on myself but Daz helped with that by not letting me look at the photos until he had looked for me!
There are so many things that we haven't been able to find time to explore since being up here. However for a little while we managed to enter the world of Nemo and Dory and visit REEF HQ the aquarium here in town. The boys were quite fascinated by the different fish and sharks, the shells and the interactive areas up stairs.

The Pre-Wedding Dinner was on Tonight at my Aunt and Uncles place. Just about everyone was here that were travelling so we got to meet a lot of old friends of the family. (more for my parents as they remembered more than I did!) The boys have absolutely adored being around their cousins and have been so excited to play with them. Dinner was various roasts and veges, the boys had a tomato noodles dish as well made with their special noodles that all the kids ate. My brother came up as well so I got to see him for the first time in nearly a year. Mum insisted on him having photos taken and what a task! With my mother finally learning how to smile in photos (although she struggled this time!!) and Michael being silly there are quite a few out takes!! Tyler tried to make me eat his icky strawberry ice-cream cone and Caden and his cousin were happy to sit in a chair watching Bolt! All in all it was a great night to be able to catch up with family and meet new people.
The boys are over it! We have come up here and supposed to be on holidays as well as finding outfits for the wedding. Yeah well it has taken us all week to find me a dress, the boys an outfit each and Daz a shirt that will actually fit and go with his suit. Finally we found all that we need. So now we can relax a bit. I will admit that I love shopping but I have to say that 2 little active boys really don't like doing it everyday - although they didn't mind the toy shop!
Caden has his outfit and it is a very snazzy looking shirt and pants, Tyler has a three piece outfit with a very cute little vest to match. I have my ankle length red dress and Daz his suit with a black shirt and red tie. Caden has called his outfit his wedding dress and has asked every day to wear it!
We visited Toys R Us and came home with a game, some my little ponies and a Talking Diego doll with Click the camera and a rescue watch.
The boys have been waiting and waiting to finally get into the new Sportacus suits. We finally had finished travelling and had settled into the cabin so on they went! here are our cuties!>
