today started sooo well...

I love this morning despite the very early start. 5am is SO not an hour! The kids & I took the car to be rego tested and playe at the park for about half an hour. We had such a good time! then we hit the shops to get Daddy his chrissy present. Gee I hope he is into a certain thing that hte boys LOVE!! We finally got the boys to school about 9 when C's room was giving news. perfect timing. C had his news day today an I actually saw him give it! He is so confident in front of the other kids. 'Shell said she never sees him as a shy fellow. hmm wonder why it comes out now and then!

I actually got to video and get some piccy's so here is my little man giving his news!

There are presents!

C certainly has good eyes. I spent some of today wrapping presents for us and put some under the tree. While we were eating dinner (a lazy night with a picnic on the floor) he pipes up with "there are presents! For me?!" So of course the next question was "can we open them?". Luckily we have also been counting the sleeps till we go to the beach and he was cool with the "we can't open until after we get back from the beach". You know I tucked them into the corner so I could "hide" them for a couple of days... yeah so much for that!

T is getting very excited about going to the beach. At 2 he has a really good grasp on what is around him and he is constantly telling us about how we are going swimming with the fishies and the dolphins. We are down to 10 sleeps now and they are counting every one of them!

I was lucky to grab a copy of the Host by Stephanie Meyer today. I love reading the twilight series - I think I have read them all about 3 or 4 times. I don't really have a favourite out of the 4 but like all of them.

D was told today that he is going to be the night shift supervisor so starting January he will be home during the day more. I guess that Mummy has night night and sweet dreams duty from then on but we'll get used to the new routine soon enough - we survived the mornings on our own for ages! I am looking forward to it in some ways and others I am not sure about but we'll sort out all the bugs! the HUGE bonus - MUCH MUCH more FAMILY time YAY!

Oh and I just couldn't resist putting these cute photos of the kids in their Santa Sacks from the Fun Day on Sunday! Their presents have been pulled apart and played with but oh the sacks make really cool things to climb into!

Daily funnies...

T wanted to ride his bike this morning so as I went out to watch he turned around to me and said "photo mummy". I asked if he wanted me to take some photos of him with the big or little camera... The answer was "little"; gee did I get in trouble when I pulled out my big one! Still got the photos though! I thought I have to write this down because in a matter of months I am going to be getting the "don't photo me" routine again – one that C is finally coming out of!

C has a Sportacus outfit that he calls his Spiderman one. Well he wore it to school the other day and I had to wash it. As I was hanging it out he sat on the grass (at 7.30 in the morning mind you) and said that "he was waiting for it to dry so he could wear it". Very cute... despite having to explain that he could have it after school! SO the first thing when he gets home is to put it on and now he has gone to bed with it... Oh to be 4 years old again!

Last night I just had to get the boys some Christmas books. I felt that we weren't giving them enough of the stories of Christmas - although they are getting some at school. SO I bought them some Australian ones - the Australian night before Christmas, 12 days of Christmas, a Thomas the tank one and the Christmas Star - which you move the star onto each page about the three wise men. These are really nice and it feels great to e able to read to my kids about things going on now from both in the past and present and from here and other worlds and times.

I am actually up to date with the December daily album which is nice and have redone the card to be sent. Here they are – mostly all from the Shabby Princess (here) and designer digitals (here) plus templates and embellishments from Jessica Sprague (from here and here). If I have missed credits I am sorry and will try to fix it up!

enjoy

Here we are!

Well here I am again, it has been a while to tell my story and life has been hectic. Now with Christmas around the corner and the boys growing up so fast I thought I would try to keep up here. Ok what have we been up to? Well Caden has just turned 4 and is having a blast. His imagination is sensational and everything he does Tyler follows through with as well. Our lives are filled with transformers and Ben 10 a t the moment although Wall-E plays a very close second - the kids absolutely love this movie. The birthday party was filled with Spiderman and Transformers bits and pieces as well as a cake!

I have been given a gift of finding the scrapping mojo lately after participating in the Stories in Hand course over at JessicaSprague.com. What a wonderful experience. The thoughts and memories of our lives are really flowing now and it is trying to find the time to sit and record all of the stories that I hope to be able to do!

The Daily December album has been started again and here is the first couple of pages!

Our momentous moments for December this year started with Tyler pedalling on a big bike now and so happy to be able to do what Caden does. Now he is asking for his own bike... Maybe we'll have to put a wish in for Santa!
Daz has been busy with work changing shifts a bit due to people away, and I have gone back to casual teaching again since my blocks have stopped for this year.

Ok best dash, enjoy!
Jodie
