Time out for Mum and Dad!

What a busy end of the year. Mum and Dad took the boys for the last couple of days in Coota so Daz and I ducked off for some us time in Canberra! It was lovely. We stayed at the Medina James Court serviced apartments on the 6th floor with a spa room. The room was so worth jumping on Wotif to grab a couple of nights accommodation at a great rate!

I cant say that we really did a lot of sight seeing but we did do a lot of shopping! It was really nice not having routines to stick too and cranky kids whinging at us! We ate out at the King O'malley's pub on Monday night - I forgot to take a photos of our yummy scrummy meals - schnitzel and seasoned calamari but this is how much was left...

the next night we went to Sammy's Kitchen for Chinese. I can see why people were lining up to get in. again shock horror I didn't have my camera so no photos of the yummy food!!

we visited the War Memorial but it wasn't open when we go there so the only glimpses we got were of some of the sculptures outside of Simpson and his Donkey

and the entrance. We hope to go back with a full day to go through and take the boys as they get older. Daz apparently has his name on the wall inside for the apprentice course through Wagga. we would really like to see that.

We went to DFO brand depot after that - woo hoo love some of these shops!

then went to Belconnen for the afternoon - love that Dymocks book shop there!

they turned the big spout on out on the Lake and of course it was very overcast, cloudy, no blue sky and icky. but here it is anyway!

Meanwhile...

Grandma and Papa were having a ball with the kids going to the pool and the park, playing games and see just how cranky and irritable Caden gets!! Grandma only lost her temper once! Great job Grandma!!.
